Yes I do believe that ATMs should be constructed so that they are accessible to people that not only drive and may be in a wheelchair or have other special needs. The keypads are in braille but frequently are not in a place accessible by a blind individual.
Many places are not ADA compliant, for example handicapped parking with no room for a van with a ramp or curbs with no access for wheelchairs.
Complain, that is the only way to raise awareness. Call the ADA.
It's the law.

Of course they should. Over here in OZ we have ATMs which are lower down so wheelchair bound people can reach and they also have braille on all ATMs for the vision impaired.
Other than that I dont know of any other modifications to ATMs but thats a darn good start!!!

In the United States, the American's with Disabilities Act says that they must be fully accessible.

Many of the disabled are already living out on their own. If they can live on their own without assistance, then yes the disabled should be able to use ATMs without assistance.

Yes, I can manage ATM's without assistance.I am permanently physically disabled with "mobility problems"and it does not stop me doing most things.I have had to adapt like most of my friends. Most able bodied people have no idea how we live.

Being disabled doesn't mean your mentally challenged. If they can reach the ATM from their car, why not?

Certainly, who wouldn't they? A disability is not life stopping, it is just more of a challenge in some cases.
