they used to use lard(beef tallow they called it) till the early 90's,(also used to cook their pies in it) the fries tasted WAY better but of course they were much worse for you, I can remember going there when i was little and when you got fries there would be always be a couple just soaked in grease

No McDonald's uses 100% vegtable oil to frie them taters

Always ask to have them make it fresh it is worth the wait and you realy do not know how long they leave that food in the warmer.

i read ontheir websight that the fries are fried in beef based oil and contain wheat.
