nature..............if women havent had the right to vote til the 1900s then obviously this isnt the land of the free and equal then .......RIGHT?????
cause men started off much earlier and therefore have the upperhand. can you and your IQ understand that?

For starters, women have only been able to vote for the President since 1920. Before then, no major party was going to nominate a woman; since most men did not think women were capable of doing the job.
While there have been serious female candidates before (Chisholm in 1972 and Ferraro in 1988), Hillary seems the strongest one around.

The men in America aren't ready to admit that a female is capable of leading the country. Women haven't even had the right to vote for 100 years yet.

Most women aren't dumb. The only problem is, most of the smart ones either aren't rich or don't want to be president. (I'm not saying that you have to be rich to be the president, but people are less likely to vote for you if you don't have some good campaign ads, and they happen to cost quite a bit.)

Are you a male that happens to be asking this question? It has nothing to do with our intelligence as a sex. It has to do with the seriousness in which a woman is taken as a leader. "200 years of independence" --??? Who has been "independent?" It was no less than 20 years ago that women could not make the same wage as a man. Although feminism reached its height decades ago and we are seen as equals in some respects now, these things take time. Hilary Rodham Clinton (although not my choice for president) is an example of the decade that is "right on time" in terms of being equal.
I appreciate your arrogance.

No females are not dumb. The reason that no woman has been president is because the other countries would not take us seriously and they would make fun of the whole country so once more no females are not dumb

Well isn't the president elected by the people? So I fail to see how that makes the woman dumb for the people not choosing her. Either the people don't want, or aren't ready for, a female president.

No, just your wife for marrying you. Most voters are men. They are the dumb ones that never put a woman in the white house. Did you ever vote for a woman running for president?

My IQ of 139 tells me that when they come forward with a candidate worthy of holding the top job, then I will give that person a chance. We have had no such person step forward. Women have only had the vote since 1919 in this country. I'm not worried about it, and you shouldn't be either.

Because people don't believe women to be prez in the US because it's a very very stressful job to run the country.. look at those who ran for prez for 8 years and how much they got worn out by their long tired baggy eyed, grey hair..and the way they addressed the country. they were.practically falling apart!!
