i am trying to use wifi so that i can go online with my DS but is unable to as my current settings is using a passkey instead of a wep key. i have tried to change my settings at 192.168.1.1 but cannot find any option to change from passkey to wep key. my router is by linksys, model number WRT150N. It is a wireless-N home router. please help! Thanks!

As long as your router's settings are not set to "N-Only" it should work... Nintendo DS supports Wireless B connections, but according to the Nintendo site, G and N wireless networks should work as well...

Also, the WEP key is usually the same thing as the passkey.

If you can access your Router's utility by typing in 192.168.1.1 then you need to get out your routers paperwork and it will give you a step by step to set up
WEP, or WPA, or WPA-2 for your security.
The ability for you to set up and change your security is definatly located in the routers utility.

look in the security tab under encryption and there it will have a drop down menu of all the types of security available and you can select wep there.
