Your husband isn't the one who makes you feel that way - you ALLOW him to let you feel that way. It sucks that he doesn't bring you up like I think a husband should, but you can choose to decide that he's wrong and ignore him or stand up to him.

Keep in mind that he only acts that way because he's so insecure that he wants you to think you need him.

Wow, a piss ant. I've never seen a piss ant. Maybe that's because they are so small.
If someone tries to make you feel small, they are trying to control you and make themselves feel good compared to you. Some thing's going on if you are in a relationship like this. Don't accept this as normal.

No and that is just the beginning of a very dangerous thing. He is controlling, abusive and domineering. Run far away and never look back. Do not stand this behavior, I really hate men like this, my MIL was going to marry one, until he basically drugged her comatose, and when she awake she realized how horrible he was. He would control he money, the way she dressed and often told her how stupid she was, and actually had her pretty convinced for awhile.

I do.

I've told him that his actions are unacceptable, and I won't tolerate them any more. As soon as I have enough money for a deposit on an apartment, I'm taking my kids and getting the hell out.

It doesn't take much for verbal abuse to become physical....you really need to think about whether or not you want to spend the rest of your life with an abusive, domineering jackass.

Sounds to me like you are being emotionally abused. I would either insist that he go to marriage counseling with me (if you still love him and want to save your marriage) or I would divorce him ASAP.

Good luck.

you deserve better than him, you do not have to put up with that and he needs to know this is 2007 and he will not talk to you that way or he will be outside looking in
