They say Viking did first. Columbus discover Some Islands in Gulf of Mexico, he was the first to colonize them, Amerigo Vaspuci Discover America hence the name.

They did but they didn't really care about it like the other countries did and it wasn't really discovering you know. Why are eurocentric thoughts taught in school all the time. We never hear about the Aztecs discovering the Spanish do we? I dont think so!
