I've heard lots of big booms! They may have been sonic booms! I heard the big boom sounds when living not far from an airport!
What qualifies for a sonic boom? I probably heard it! The sounds caused my apartment to shake! The other 2 tenants noticed them too in the Triplex One joked saying: The Aliens are at it again! Maybe He wasn't Joking maybe was serious?

Yes, years ago, while playing outside, I heard this horrific boom....a car that was going by with what looked like house speakers in the back window slammed on brakes and went back home. I figured he blew a speaker and had to go home to get another one out of his living room.....I went inside, my Mother heard it too, not sure what it really was. Later heard via news it was a Sonic Boom. Very unreal sound.

Yes. When my husband and I were in London quite some time ago we heard the Concorde over London. The sound was incredible.
