I had the same thing happen to me last night!
He didn't come by because of the snow!

My Beloved was on a trip in Iowa and the storm hit and the car that had the luggage (and the car keys) ended up in the ditch and I drove 25 miles through the city to give a car key.

yes, i would. that brings back a memory of years ago my husband worked about 10 miles away and it was just before christmas. his place of work was giving every one free turkeys (yeah, big friggin deal!). any way it was snowing really heavy and he had to leave the car along the way because of stalled traffic and walk home late at night in the blizzard carrying that stupid frozen turkey, ah those were the good ole days...

I wouldn't drive but thank goodness public transportation is great in Chicago. I'd be on a train to be with my man.
