This auction is for a refurbished Dell Inspiron 5000e laptop. This can be used as a full functional Windows 2000 system or for repair parts. Minor problems with this laptop include a small crack in the front cover (see picture) and the screen sometimes changes color because the video cable might be loose. If you can afford a new laptop you would be much better off with a cheap new one (and laptops are cheaper then they've ever been).

The battery on that thing is probably going to be pretty close to dead anyway and 'new' batteries hard to find (and probably almost dead since they are 'new' old stock).

No, don't buy it. It is very old and the person even says that the laptop has problems. Dell often has sales on new laptops. go to www.dell.com and you can customize your own, new laptop
You would have to update everything with that old laptop including the OS and RAM which would cost you hundreds of dollars.

If you dont know very much about computers get one that doesnt have anything wrong with it. Everything is ok except the problem with the monitor, it could be something wrong with the video, if its just a cable it could cost 100.00 unless you can do it yourself You cant fix laptops as easily as desktops.

no lol. don't buy computers on ebay for one, but what you'll need to look for in a laptop would be

1. 1.5ghz (1500mhz) - 2.0ghz (2000mhz) processor, dual core if posibble

2. atleast 1gb of ram (1024mb)

3. some sort of wireless connectivity, example: built in wireless card if you have an open wifi connection near you.

everything else is basically not an necessity, or unless your using it for gaming, wont really matter.

10 GBs of space?
No.. not really.

128 MBs of RAM is pretty bad for everything, and everything else about it isn't good either.

Either do what Miesplz said, or find another one.
