I know its possible but it seems there are software solutions or hardware ones but whats the easiest way?

Watching tv is simpler but I love reading literature more

I use www.slingbox.com -- it connects to my satellite and allows me to watch TV (including changing the channels) remotely while online. It works best if you have a lot of upload bandwidth -- my DSL has 896k (much better than the 256k comcast offers)

You can watch videos from NBC, ABC, etc. from either websites, as long as your in the states. Being overseas, I have to use TVUPlayer, do a search for it. You can find others too, I just know that this one is safe to use.

easiest way is to get yourself a tv tuner card or plug-in, i have one that plugs in to my usb port and i can watch cable tv on my pc monitor...cost: $99. at Circuit City
