A circumcision is when the foreskin of your penis is rolled back, a small ring is put in place then the skin is snipped off. As your penis heals (takes a few days) the ring slips off. As you notice your penis head is always visible where as if your not circumcised skin covers it until you either pull it back or have an erection. It rolls back over on its own after your erection leaves or you let it go.
Circumcision by some is a religious right of passage into manhood at age 13. Most parents who have their sons done now do it for better health reasons.
When circumcised it is easier to keep clean and prevents future infections and helps reduce the possibility of spreading and catching STD's (sexually transmitted diseases).

A circumcision is the removal of the foreskin of the penis. In some societies it was a sign of purification. When bathing was not as pronounced as it is today the male was prone to infection of the penis area at the foreskin. Circumcision is a rite practiced by the Jews today but it was developed to eliminate infections generations ago.

There is a flap of skin at the end of the penis called a "foreskin". It pulls back when you pee and stuff. If you "ain't got one" it is because your parents had it cut off.
There is no medical reason for a circumcision, it is a cultural thing. Well, for some people with bad...ahem...hygeine....it can be a good thing to be circumcised. If you are not clean, you can get diseases more easily.

Um, it means you had the foreskin of your penis cut off. That's what it means. You poor thing. Circumcision is so useless. Amazing that people think butchering a newborn male's genitals is considered perfectly acceptable, yet the world over they're trying to stamp out female circumcision. It's a bit of a double standard, really.
(I'm not in favour of female circumcision, I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is that circumcision should be illegal except for religious reasons, and it shouldn't be performed on a child without their express consent.)

Men are born with a piece of skin that covers the majority of the "head" of the penis, called a "foreskin". Circumcision is cutting the foreskin off.
Formerly this was done for religious reasons (symbolic castration - i.e. I would be willing to cut my penis off if God asked me to...). Health experts found that the wives of circumcised men were less likely to get cervical cancer, so they started promoting it for non religious reasons. You can get into a rather heated debate about wether the medical findings are sound or dubious.

I'm not an expert but this is what I know....a male has something called foreskin over his penis ever male is born that way. It was discovered that in many cultures that males that had the foreskin where more subject to infections although its disputed. So a doctor will remove the foreskin when you are a baby because it is a common practice, however not all males are circumsized. Try wikipedia for more answers.

Well it is when the doctors cut off the extra skin on your manhood, so you would have one like a regular boy can. It is a very good thing because your manhood can get infected if you don't have a circumcision. I'm just letting you know.

Boys are born with skin that covers the head of the penis. It's called a foreskin. It is common to have this skin removed for hygienic reasons, but for some it is customary (usually for religious reasons) to keep the skin intact.

it's where the foreskin of the penis is removed. It looks weird if someone is uncircimsized and it can cause health issues and can cause pain. Most have it done soon after birth.
