When I was young I thought 5 years max and then I married someone 9 years older. Felt like too many years a lot of the time but it was a "people thing" not an age thing. Now that I have a lot of years I would say anybody you can relate to on an emotion, spiritual and physical level is fine, for me that's about 15 years.

I'm 45 and I still think Anthony Hopkins is hot. I wouldn't date anyone under 25. But I think it's all about the maturity factor and how much the two of you have in common.

I think five years is too young for me to date, although I am happily married, and if I were to lose my husband I wouldn't ever date or marry again, hard enough the first time.
