P.S Not a bashing NASA question. I just wonder why the Govt can spend millions & millions for space exploration but yet they are not willing to do the same for people who need healthcare in this country.

you would be amazed at what the space program has done for the health and well being for all of the people of this planet. new drugs, better devices for safety, etc. the goal to reach space is not just limited to the NASA program, there are programs in far less developed countries that know the worth
of space exploration to better their countries. if you check out the amount of money spent on social programs you will see that it far exceeds the budget that NASA receives. not to mention the money that is given for humanitarian efforts across the globe. health care in this nation does need some
reforms, but it is up to the individual(s) to make it happen and make a collective voice that can be heard from your quaint town to Washington. but remember... this, as well as anything else comes at a cost, nothing is free for you or me.

Because the United States has to keep up with all the other countries that are exploring space
(No that's not it)

(No thats not it either)
It will make a stronger country--if the poor do not have health care they will die resulting in a richer country

Government has priority to explore the space than giving healthcare because of prestige instead of uplifting the people. It is the discretion of government which should not be the case if the people objects to it.

The space station is important. You don't need a big screen, get health insurance.
