One of the orb-web Araneids, like a Barn Spider. I'm not sure which one off-hand, as they are all fairly similar and I don't recall the specifics about abdomen patterns like I used to. Still, it's harmless. Pretty late in the year for one of those in Wisconsin.
Not an Argiope, definitely not any of the widows or relatives - very different spiders. Don't worry about it. It's a big eater of horse flies and most other things small enough to stick in the web.

My best guess is that it is a type of argiope or orb weaver spider. They are very common throughout the states and, although venomous, are not dangerous to humans. If it has a big web that is round in shape and in perfect spiraling symmetry, then I would say it is definitely an Orb Weaver. There are many different types of argiope, they can be found in different sizes, shapes and colors, however most are quite impressive looking spiders, but none of them are dangerous to humans. They are all venomous though, but only a localized, minor reaction should be expected from getting bitten by one, similar to a bee sting at most.
The only dangerous spider that this one vaguely resembles is a type of Tangle Web Spider, known as the Brown Widow, a close cousin to the Black Widow. I am only mentioning this as a precaution as I cannot positively ID this spider. This spider does have a very toxic venom but it is not normally found in Wisconsin.

That's an orb-weaver. Neoscona? spp. Not poisonous. It can bite you, but the venom is not systemically poisonous, probably just leaving a localized welt and nothing more.
Try not to piss it off anyway.
Orb weaver spiders are the ones that make spider webs like the type in "Charlotte's Web" (as opposed to funnel web spiders, trap door spiders, wolf spiders, etc..)
