Not sure if this applies to you. You will have to look at the manual that came with your PC.

On my motherboard there is a "password jumper" and if I remove that jumper it will reset all the admin security settings on my PC to a null setting.

You need to look in your manual under "passwords" or "motherboard connections", etc. It may do the trick for you if you have such a feature on your pc's motherboard.

Hope this helps.

if you are using xp.
in an explorer window
click tools -> folder options -> view tab -> uncheck use simple file sharing
in 'my computer' click the security tab. change the file owners in the advanced button.
