YES, very afraid. I lived in a house with a few people and one had 3 snakes in his room but they were all in safe cages or so I thought. When everyone went away in the summer i kept heart noises coming from his room and i kept saying the snake was trying to get out and of course everyone laughed at me. Well one day i was getting ready for work and i heard something get knocked off the wall in his room. I remember walking in and seeing things on the ground but all the cages still had their lids on. I turned around and there was the Boa staring at me on top of the bookshelf wrapped around a monkey statue. I have never been so freaked out in my life!!! Needless to say i ran out of the room, shut the door, called in late to work and called a friend to help put the snake back in the cage. It had been working all summer long loosening up the top of the metal lid so it could squeeze out. Just talking about it gives me chills.

Nope, My dad has a snake I named Mister Slithers, he's just a cute little corn snake ^_^
Me ans my little sister used to catch these little snakes out of a creek, but we knew what snakes to look for.
Spiders are a bit of another story though.....

No! Used to hunt, skin and eat rattlesnakes in the Arizona desert when not attending classes at college as a way to make extra cash. Snakes can sense when people are afraid of them and this is usually when they will strike at you, not saying that you should stand toe to toe with them, just stay the hell away from the dangerous snakes if you can and you might live to a ripe old age.

it depends on if they are about to bite me or not =)
But I like the snakes where I live because they're not poisonous and they eat mice and rats. I'll take snakes over disgusting mice any day

They terrify me! Even if they are non-poisonous! I'm not afraid of spiders or anything else! But snakes...shiver!

Yes, they scare the bejesus out of me.
Thankfully, I live in the north, where there aren't many snakes. I should be more worried about bears.
