depends on what time of day you ask me.. he! he! he!

I prefer we are having a baby, i am pregnant.

To who ever said"why shouldn't the men be involved?"... because the men CAN'T be involved durrr. You may think you are and can be, but trust me... your have no idea.

We (women) have to be pregnant and deal with hormones, fatigue like you will probably never experience, morning sickness, and a whole slew of other stuff... all of this before we hit the grand finale of pushing a real live bowling ball sized human out of our hoo ha. At least let us take the credit!

Lots of thumbs down for WERE PREGNANT!
Sounds like a lot of men haters or single moms in here. Or maybe women who did NOT find the right man to marry and make baby's with

YES WERE PREGNANT!!!

My husband and kids are so happy and there for me every step of the way. It takes 2 to make a baby and a family to share the baby and the blessing.

were pregnant!

I noticed someone stating that HE doesn't get sick, or have the pains, etc, but, stop and think for a minute; if you haven't heard of one or two men who've had alllll the symptoms, ie, bloating, sickness, cramps, ie, sympathetic pregnancy, YOU have been watching too much tv and not paying attention to the rest of the world.
we are pregnant, okay, only one may carry, but, both experience it. at least he's THERE, which too often can't be said.

No it doesn't bother me at all...being a married woman who loves and adores her husband I am excited when I hear him say "our" pregnancy or when he tells people "we're" pregnant....it's OUR baby right? He might not be carrying her but he is caring for me and putting up with my mood swings, crazy dreams that lead to wacky behavior while I am sleeping and food cravings. He is just as much a part of this as me and our daughter is just as much a part of him as she is a part of me...so I relish the fact that my husband is an active and proud part of this pregnancy...I wish there were more men like that out there!!

Edit: I especially love it when he leans down and kisses my belly and calls our daughter "My Charlotte"

It doesn't bother me at all, in fact, i think it's very meaningful. "We are pregnant", especially if the man says it, means that the man intends on helping the woman as best he can during her pregnancy, and that they're in it together, because it's THEIR child. Both played an active part in creating the child, and by that phrase, they're going to be playing an active role in ensuring the child's well-being before and after birth.

Okay, she's pregnant and he is not. However, this is a statement. It is a statement that he is there to provide whatever support she needs. Her pregnancy impacts him. For example, she's not going to be able to do her share of the work around the house. He can be a slug and not do anything, or he can put in the extra effort, etc. So "we" vs. "she" is making a statement about him, and how commited he is to this baby. Let's hope it is "we" and not "she".

Yes, it is pretty annoying. Unless the man and woman are both pregnant at the same exact time in which case they could technically say that ;)

I don't hate when people say that, but it sounds absolutely ridiculous. Men don't get pregnant!
I'm all for involving the men and that is why on my daughters baby shower invitations it says her name, the dads name, and the baby's name. And the dad will be at the baby shower. (he wants to)
But saying "we are pregnant" is goofy.

It take a "we" to make "us" pregnant. Its only the truth that it takes 2 to make 1

Yes & no. You both are sharing what you have created. But you are right, the woman gets pregnant.
