Maybe she just doesn't want you to be influenced by it. It's easy enough saying that you're not going to swayed by it, but after I watched it, I did think for a second that being a bad *** looked pretty cool. Either way, it was an awesome movie and Evan Rachel Wood did an amazing job with the lead role. If you want to watch it so badly, try to convince your mother that you are trustworthy and mature enough.

It could have something to do with the fact that there are pretty graphic depictions of sex and drugs in the movie.
I don't know how old you are -- but I wouldn't want my minor child to see that movie either.
