ZS who invented the planet Nibiru (it comes from what is now thought to be poor translation of old Sumerian texts), places its return in 2085 (and he reissued this date recently).

Others, who want to jump in on the 2012 end-of-the-world, have decided to modify the parameters of Nibiru in order to claim that it would return in 2012 instead of 2085.

Better understanding of old Sumerian texts hint that Nibiru could have been the planet that we now call Jupiter.

Planet X started off as something different. At one point, it was the planet that was supposed to be responsible for perturbations in Neptune's orbit. When Pluto was discovered, it was soon apparent that it was way too small to be responsible for the perturbations, so the myth of Planet X became stronger.

However, better understanding of the solar system and of planetary perturbations (along with mre accurate observations) have since removed the need for a Planet X.

The myth of Planet X has recently been combined with that of Nibiru (and twisted around to fit the 2012 thing).

To survive, do as faesson says: sell all your clothes.

Raymond's answer is correct.

I don't believe in Nibiru or Planet X. My opinion is that you are wasting your time by deluding yourself. If you choose to survive beyond 2012, I would recommend contacting a good psychiatrist. He can recommend some medication and a good therapist for you to get through this. In the meantime, I would recommend avoiding pseudowebsites that are going to test your gullability. There is a very good reason why no other scientist in the world agrees with Zecheria Sitchen and his crazy ideas.

Of course it got attached to the 2012 disinformation. It didn't show in 2003 like it was supposed to so 2012 was as good of a year as any. And again in 2085 when it doesn't show in 2012. Probably some year inbetween those also just to keep the followers in line.

What to do to survive? Why not ask the people from the 2003 hype what they did?

You have hit us with a NEW end of the Earth scenario!

You combined the Mayan calendar WITH the return of Planet X.

I would suggest that you would make an excellent science fiction writer.
