I have a pair of 3-inch brass candlesticks circa 1780's, which were originally given to one of my ancestors and passed on through each generation. In a few months I may have the portrait of the original owner as well, although the portrait is not as old as the candlesticks.

I think it's an etiquette book from circa 1730 but I could be wrong. We have a ton of antiques including paper goods and books and I have a few tiny books---approximately 1 1/2 by 2 inches---that were sold by wagon peddlers in colonial times and are not dated.

I'm jealous, Kathryn. I love all things craftsman.
Anyway, I'm the oldest thing in my house. When I moved to Atlanta from California, I sold everything and had to buy everything new.
