I do not really want any answers I give or questions I ask to appear in a google search. If I totally delete my profile, will it prevent this? Or is there an easier way?

I doubt deleting your profile would prevent your answers from showing in search results. I would probably have to go back and look and Yahoo's end User License Agreement, but I would think it would say Yahoo! has the right to use the info since this is a public forum.

You also have to figure that any public site by design will have its pages crawled so other users can benefit from the answers.

As for Google in particular, they are probably just abiding by what Yahoo! tells them in their robots.txt file. By default, all pages are crawled by search engines unless there is explicit instructions in the robots.txt file to exclude certain areas.

Since Yahoo! allows people to view answers without logging in or having a Yahoo! account, I think you can expect Google or any search engine to crawl these pages.

If you're worried about revealing your identity then I would suggest using some sort of alias or have someone else post your answers.

Yes there is a way. That is too make your profile private. So no one can add you like our page.Another way not to show your answers might be if you get reported but I doubt it will stop it.Thank You,Google

Go to advanced search. For websites with keywords you don't want just put in yahoo.

well, if it is on yahoo answers, it will automatically show up on google. The only way for it not to show up is if you delete all the questions you asked, and removed all your answers before the question is resolved.
