This sort of abuse is a tactic that christians have been using for years, but in recent years, cults have started hiding in compounds to keep their child abuse harder to detect - the funny thing is, most of those abusers claim they're following some religion or another.

It usually starts this way - a demanding religious fanatic getting more and more out of control - until it leads to news headlines.

I can't advise you not to follow your parents' wishes, but I can encourage you to talk to a counselor at school, a friend's parent, or another adult you trust.

Hang in there.

Ask you father why he thinks so little of you that he believes you would be influenced by these things to become a less then a "Christian" person! Tell him you understand where you come from, and that you know where the line between reality and fantasy is!
Also explain to him that his overbearing rule of your life and social freedoms only serve to push you away from the things that he is trying to steer you toward! His behavior is creating in you, a sense of resentment that is only going to grow and have a harmful impact on your relationship with him unless he lightens up a bit!
You also need to tell him that you love him and know he loves you, and that you understand he does these things to try to protect you.
On the other hand, you must also be prepared to accept the fact that you live in his house, and as such, he makes the rules! He may choose to ignore your requests and points of view and you will have to deal with that until such time as you are old enough and financially responsible enough to have and maintain your own place.

Thats hard. Well if your not christan explain to him that its fine that he believes in what he believes in. Tell him your not into converting and hopful he will understand. Or if your christian too let him know that what hes doing is great but you have other way that you show you believe. After all everyone can have their own oppion. And he can just block that channel so you can watch other shows.

That's tuff. I have no problem with religion but fanatics drive me insane. Unfortunately i think you are stuck to deal with it until you move out. You cant change the mind of an idiot fanatic... i've learned that. and if he's not being physically abusive the police will do nothing.

i assume i'm not the sole one that observed the humor interior the scene the place Seamus tries to teach his water into rum utilising transfiguration. Harry potter continues to be my well-known series of books, and particular will until I die.

That's a bit intense, i would say talk 2 him about it but there seems 2 be no reasoning with this guy!

He should force to do stuff you don't want 2 do because your more likely to go against it!!!!

maybe talk to your mum about it tell her how you feel she should help!!!!!!

Your dad is not a total Christian, he is not religious, he is a FANATIC! Talk to your mom about it and if that won't help then talk to your priest and try to get him to talk to your dad about this.
