You say still too big, did the shop reduce the jet size? Sounds more like it is too lean on the low end. You might try richening up the idle circuit which will help richen the entire low end. I don't know if on your bike the idle mixture screws control fuel or air, so yo need to talk to the mechanic of shop who did the work. The will be likely be brass with a flat screw head and most likely be located in the side of the carb. They may be covered with an aluminum or plastic plug, but if they've been worked on don't worry about the EPA mandated plug being gone. Turn them in clockwise, counting how many turns you make until they GENTLY seat. Often times the general setting is 1-1/8 to 1-1/2 turns (revolutions) counter clockwise. For example, if you screwed them in 1-1/2 turns until they seated and they control fuel (most but not all do), back them out counterclockwise say 2 full turns. If they control air, back then out 1 turn. Try making adjustments of one half turn at a time and then ride it and see if there is any difference. If adjusting them either way makes things worse, back them out the orginal number of turns (why you need to count them before you start making adjustments). After making major modifications to my bike, my air idle jets are only 1/2 turn out which richened the mixture considerabaly but greatly improved carburation.
