USC has John David Booty (quarterback) as #10 and Brian Cushing (linebacker) as #10. Why are they allowed to do this?

Tons of teams of duplicate numbers... There's more players than available numbers... (some numbers get retired)

One plays on offense and one plays on defense. Ohio State has this on a few players. Ive noticed we have 2 #4's on our team.

You can duplicate many numbers. You just can;t have them on the field at the same time.
