although it appears a fragile, easy to stomp on and kill creature, the ant is able to lift and carry 10 times its own body weight. So, proportionally to a body, the ant is very strong. Not sure about it being the strongest, but it is up there on the list. definitely stronger than a grizzly bear. For all those people who underestimate such a tiny creature, do not judge the ant by its size.

No, definetly not. What you probarly mean is that it can lift about 9 times it's own body weight, so relativitley, it's stronger than humans.
But if you were to give a human something and a ant something, the human would be able to pick it up easier, as we're so much stronger. But if a ant was our size, they could just about pick up a car!

Is it RLY the strongest? No. Something like an elephant, or a whale is. Is it PROPORTIONALLY? Still no! Because there's some beetle that's like- 2 inches long or so, and he can lift like- 40 or 50 times it's own weight. So- no either way actually.

If they had a contest to see who is the strongest im pretty sure it would be an elephant or something else big like a blue whale. ants can lift x10 there weight but they arent stronger than many things

Ants is not the really strongest animal in the world but they can carry things that is not heavy for us but heavy for them.

they are fascinating insects my son got an ant farm and they have specific ants that take care of different needs evens ones that tend to the dead freaky how big is an ants brain

I always heard six times its weight quoted as the ants feat of strength. I'm not sure if its the strongest, but it sure has a reputation.
