Time for some positivity! [which is rich coming from me].

I like the fact that i'm discovering music that i probably never would have if i had never come to this section. And it's nice to have somewhere to babble on about the music that i love.

What is /your/ favourite thing about this glorious section?

x

Like you, I love coming here and discovering new music. And the fact that a lot of the people here share a genuine passion for music, irrespective of personal tastes, creates a really good atmosphere.

My story for coming here is much like many others. I got back into Y!A around the 4th of July weekend. During that time, I didn't have a main section. I just answered whatever looked interesting on the first page. Spent some time in Sports, Politics, Singles & Dating, and P&S but nothing really captivated me quite like the R&P. In the beginning, it was a novel experience seeing people talk about bands that previously no one I knew ever talked about before. But it ended up being much more than that. A group of regulars have emerged in here, all with very distinct personalities and musical tastes. I've met a lot of great people in here. Even learned some new bands to boot.

I can't help but notice I'm surrounded by the cyber-siblings, LOL!

I'm with you, having the chance to explore different bands that I might not otherwise know about. At 36 years old, it's a lot harder to find out about bands than it was when I was 22 and had more time and nothing else to blow my money on. Here you get the opportunity to talk to people with similar interests.

And I like the way it smells in here. It's quite stimulating.

Edit: Rukrym said it best: Irregardless of everyone's taste, the simple fact that everybody shares a common passion is a good thing.

This really is the only place that I can really talk to people that have the smae music taste as I do. Where else can I find so many Porcupine Tree fans. And Isis listens to 34 Satellite, and I thought it was impossible to find someone who love 34 Satellite.
And also the people you meet here are so caring... when I was having a slight mental breakdown, people here actually comforted me (my freinds in real life were just like "get over it")

EDIT:
We Hope That You Choke: Cinnamon said positive. Sheesh.

EDIT: Awww... Cinnamon, it's not you! :0)

Music brings people together and lyrics are truly beautiful. I think it's great that people can get together and talk about music. no matter if they're on the radio or not, big or small, and stuff that isn't just rap. I feel like it's the only thing I hear sometimes.

I love the people.Where else can do find people who like the same music and sometimes the same band.Unlike in real where none of my friends like anything.I like. Also like discover new bands or new songs that I would never listened if I wasn't on here.

I like hearing about new bands and music. Since I live in a "developing" country, good music is hard to come by, and R&P'ers have defff helped me in that aspect. How original of me.

Also, like Rckets said, theres like a group of regulars in here who I feel like I know in person, even some I'm related too!
*cough* Sookie! *cough*. The sense of familiarity is nice.

Cinammon, I had a dream that you moved to the Middle East and started coming to my school and we became like attatched to eachothers hips. :)

** yeah cinnamon, slashs autobiography hasnt come out here yet, but when it does, ill be all over it!
and you had like black long wavy hair, big brown eyes, and white skin. you dressed really like skater-ish.

There is people here that have the same taste of music as me, unlike in real life where all everyone talks about is rap.

Nicely said, rukrym. :)

I think it's so great that there are a lot of people who hang out here that listen to different music and are sharing what they listen to and what they know with the rest of us. The best PR any band can get, and the best recommendations any listener can get, are from the fans.

And it's a great group of people. For the most part. (come on, Tara!)

Edit: there's my little sister... :)
