My favourite sweater was put into a washer on hot water and now it is completley shrunk. It doesn't fit at all. Can you please tell me a good way.. any suggestions...ways that work to unshrink a wool sweater. Please help. Thanks a bunch!

I did that too...I cried a little. It was my favorite sweater. I totally felted it, so it's non-savable...

You could try putting it into lukewarm water and stretching it while its wet. This might work, but it depends on how badly you shrunk it. So soak, stretch, lay flat to dry on a towel, try it on, if needed, soak it, stretch it etc. When you soak it, don't rub it together, just let it sit in the water. If you rub the shirt, then that just makes it felt.

Sorry, you're out of luck. I did this myself a couple of times so I know. I was convinced dry-cleaning or cold-water washing wasn't really necessary. I learned the hard way. Just have to get another one!

First find a really fat guy,then put the sweater on him and run him several miles to get up a good sweat, no,wait,then you'll have to wash it in hot water again. Sorry,you're had.
