video failure?

ok, so i have a laptop, the hp dv6000 which is notorious for the wireless card failure(i disregarded this when it happened), but when my mother turned it on with out plugging in the power cord in(only had the battery in) the computer emitted a long beep followed by 2 short beeps, and the monitor never turned on.

What do i do to fix this?

The beep is a BIOS error code. One long then 2 short beeps mean video card error. Better have a technician check your laptop.
