Depends on your state. In Arizona you will pay an initial fine of between $1,000 and $10,000. Then you will spend at least 10 days in jail, and be on probation for 1-3 years, that carries a monthly charge of $15- $50.

Probably varies from state to state. In Texas, the last statistics I saw were a few years old, but it was $2500 plus possible jail time plus what ever your lawyer hit you for. Why anyone would take the chance is beyond me. That kind of money would make a lot of car or house payments. If it resulted in an accident that price would go way, way up.
