I've wished, but wishing doesn't make things happen.
About the rainbow... this was kinda funny to me. I'm a correction's officer in a prison. One day, as I was on my way to work, I noticed a rainbow in the sky. As I got closer I noticed it seemed to end right there in the center of the prison! 'Wow!' I thought, 'there's going to be a lot of disappointed people!' There's no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow... it leads to Prison!
Maybe I'm weird, but to me that seemed funny.

Well, I've never seen a falling star. But if I had, yes, I would. =D And no, I have never chased a rainbow to get the pot of gold.

No, because a falling star is just a meteor. That's a chunk of rock about the size of a marble that falls from outer space into the atmosphere and burns up, giving it the appearance of a "falling star". Why would I wish upon a meteor?
As for the rainbow, uh, no. A rainbow only appears when there is water in the air following a rainfall and the light from the sun hits the air-water mixture at just the right angle to diffract the white light into its constituent colors. Chasing this would be rather foolish of me.

Yes, but it turned out that the falling star was actually a burning piece of debris and it hit me in the head... I was in the ER for 4 hours... I don't wish on falling stars anymore...
