my key is to not wait so long to do laundry. buy a hamper that isn't very big and when its full, time to wash. whenever I have enough laundry for one load of light and one load of dark I do my washing. Usually takes me an evening or two depending on how long I am staying up.

fold your laundry from the first load while the second is washing. I don't think it takes me more than a couple hours.

I do laundry all week. I throw in a load while I'm getting dressed for work. Sometimes when I'm on this computer or watch TV, I'll throw in some laundry. I just hate having dirty clothes sit around all week. So I do a little here and a little there.

::chuckles:: Sometimes we don't.

For me, the trick is to wash a load of laundry when there is enough laundry of one kind for a load. And while the washer is running, I take care of my other chores. Anything that's not done by the end of the wash cycle usually is by the time the clothes are dry.

Then I fold and put away stuff immediately instead of letting it sit around.

laundry is like a never ending merry-go-round. at my place, there is always clothes in the dryer ready to be put up, clothes in the washer ready for the dryer, clothes in the hamper/basket ready for the washer, and clothes on us ready for the hamper/basket. what was your question???
