Search keenly. I've not read it but I gather that there are several similes:

“Two little Indians sitting in the sun, one got frizzled up and then there was one.” But who was that one? Read And Then There Were None, by Agatha Cristie to find out.

This book takes place on Indian Island. This island is beautiful with its plush greenery, ocean view, and large white house. Indian Island is not only pretty but dangerous. With its jagged rocky cliffs, murdered people, and stolen items, many people would shiver at the thought of going there. On top of all that, Indian Island is also creepy. For one, the house is filled with dead people, with the murderer still lurking! And for two there are little recesses everywhere. But through all this Vera, a young woman, reaches the end.
Vera, a young, attractive woman with a calm nature is called to this island. Her calm nature helps her not to ever panic, even after someone is shot. Also not to lose her mind after so many murders. Vera is also polite. She always says “thank you”, never shouts, and helps with the cooking. But this calm, polite woman is also brave. By that I mean she looks death in the eye. She shot a man and slept in a house full of dead people! Vera played an important role in the plot of this book.

The immediate conflict was man vs. man. Ten people are set on an island and fight against each other, and sometimes with each other, to keep their lives. The first life taken was Anthony’s. He was poisoned. Then Mrs. Rogers dies, and by that time so many things are missing you can’t keep track. Out of all this everybody learns that you can’t get away with crime, and justice will prevail.

I would say that this book was an overall great suspense and a good story. The author uses a good amount of detail and similes to make one great story. But one thing is that the beginning is hard to get into. This novel has probably surpassed some of the others I have read. I would recommend this book to mystery lovers, and all 6th and 7th graders, because it is full of fun suspense. “One little Indian left all alone…." What will happen?

good luck
