Yes, and it is so sad. She has been there10 years longer and has more formal education, but she can't make a single decision without asking one of her 3 clerks (mostly me 'cause I've been there years longer than the rest, then calling a colleague, then bouncing it off a clerk again....

She is nice enough, but an irritating combination of self absorbtion and insecurity. She drives me nuts. I am so waiting for a position to come open in a specific other department (because of her and another reason not relevant to this question).

I lucked out. I don't have a supervisor. I'm my own boss, because I knew more about my job then my supervisor.

I am a supervisor and none of the people working under me know more than me, maybe one day they will but I am there to guide and educate so the whole point is to get them to where I am at. The only level higher than me is my husband who owns the company.

not my job but acutal a high school class... are sewing teacher had just lefted and we recieved this younger one who had graduated from FIT and she knew nothing of the basics. I had taken the class once before, becuase i want to go into the field of fashion design(ironicly FIT is the school i want).

when a girl would ask the new teacher a basic question about the directions to a pattern she would answer with something that had nothing to do with the question.... the girls would come to me and ask how to do it and i had taken only this class over and another sewing class, i usually knew the anwser and would help them. the teacher left like a few weeks after we got her to "purse another job" but we all knew she got fired, we have such a better sewing teacher now....that i can acutal learn from and not teach.

Not at all. I work directly for the company owner and he works his butt off and makes sure he knows what is going on in all areas.
