I would do what I could to show them my appreciation. Hard to say what the circumstances are, but I would find a way to appropriately show them my gratitude.

I bough chocs for all the nurses in the two wards in the local hospital who helped me over a heart attack a week ago last Thursday. I repay my son by still being with him and rejoicing that I am still alive.

i would repay them by being thankful for my life and travelling, writing, having adventures and sending them letters and emails etc... to tell them of my adventures.

Also if they ever needed anything I would be there for them, regardless of what they want.

Seriously, someone did four nights ago at 7 pm and i haven't repaid them, i feel so guilty, but what do i do cos i am still in shock a bit.
