...while the steelers have the exact same injuries.. i mean thats all you hear is people making that excuse for Peyton Manning. "o his number one target is out, now he only has one star reciever to throw it to, plus his left tackle is out." Meanwhile the steelers' Holmes is out, and their left tackle as well, but they never mention that.. Lets see, the colts best defensive player is out (freeney), pittsburgh's best defensive player is out (Polamalu), plus pittsburgh's other safety is out, now they have to use like a 3rd string linebacker as a FS.. but no one mentions how hard that must be for the steelers its just "o the colts have had SO many injuries this year."

Its so gay i dont get why everyone in the media feels the need to defend the colts when other teams have the same problems..

they're trying to get into your subconscious to have you start believing that injuries are the reason they lost to New England. so if they meet up again in the playoffs, they can hype the living crud out of it again and put a fresh spin on a rematch.

injuries affect the Colts, Steelers, and everybody else. the good teams are able to overcome them. these are both good teams, and the media is wasting their time trying to create sympathy for any team who's lost a key player. but that's what the media does.

OK, finally someone seeing sports media for what they are. The Colts are the media's child. It has been this way since Manning entered the league. All hopes being placed on the Manning and the Colts while ignoring other teams.
Because the Chargers lost to the Patriots towards the beginning of the season, now the Chargers are dirt. The Packers are not any better. The alternate love child of the media are the Cowboys but that would be short lived if the Colts started playing like last year. Then the media would wager that the Patriots are toast. The cardinals are finally playing good, not great, but good and where do they get mentioned. The Media S U C K S

The Colts have the better record this season. They are the defending champs. Plus, they face the Patriots more often than the Steelers and the Patriots are on a perfect season. Not to mention Peyton Manning is an advertising bonanza so they are just milking a cash cow all the way to the Christmas sales dollar.

People do make alot about the colts injuries but you do have to be honest with that many injuries it does effect your team. They have only lost 2 games though and considering one was to the Patriots I would say that even with their injuries they are doing pretty damn good. There was one game in particular where they only dressed 17 offensive players. I think if the Colts do get healthy these injuries could end up helping in the end because they will have alot of players with some good playing time this year and that could help in the playoffs.

Wow! this has to be one of the dumbest things I've seen on here. Ok, let's go through them quickly.

At the same time these players were out
-------------------------------------------------------
1) #1, #2, #3 tackles
2) #1 guard
2) #1 and #3 tight end
3) #1, #3, and #4 WR
4) #1 DE
5) #1 & #4 DT
6) #1, #2, & #3 outside linebackers
7) #5 and #6 defensive backs
8) Several assorted special teamers

That is NINE Starters, 4 first backups, and several other players

I mean there is a reason why they could only dress 44 players for the Charger game and could not run the no-huddle (their primary offensive weapon) for one single play.

Not to mention the league kissing their ***. Against the Jags this year, they had a bye week before the 1st game this year and a 9 day layoff for the second game.

Bill Polunion, or however you spell the morons name, is a big crybaby and it influenced this. Mr. Weaver, the owner of the Jags, is a class act and is not going to go and while like Big Bill.

Who cares what the media thinks. They have to have somthing to talk about or they wouldn't have jobs. The teams will tell the story come January.

They're making excuses for when the "Super Bowl Champ" doesn't repeat this year...
