Sure He Is. He has an Out in his Contract that states...If the Michigan job comes open and I am interviewed I can leave. What is all this about. If Michigan offers him any kind of contract he is gone. If he Loses again tonight he is gone. The only thing that will keep him at LSU is Michigan not Bowing up to Him. And they will not let him run the show either. This is the Big Ten not the SEC. He will do what Michigan says or he will not get a contract.

No, he's blowing smoke about being a good coach. He has the best talent in all of the NCAA and he still lost two games plus he got lucky with several of the wins he had that should have been total blowouts for LSU. Heck you might be right cause anytime he's talking, he's blowing smoke...

I agree that I think he is trying to keep his door open at Michigan, and that this may have been a ploy to try to minimize the distractions for LSU before today's SEC Championship Game.

Todays press conference... sounded like he was trying to sound like he was staying to keep morale up before the game. There was some grey in his statement. I am not convinced he is staying here.

Let me add, he is being offered a $3Million contract to stay here at LSU

he was mad that michigan leaked information and that kirk announced he was leaving. that's why he decided to stay. he said michigan had no respect for LSU. michigan wasn't supposed to say anything until after the sec championship.

On one hand, he DID say that going back to Michigan would be his "dream job". On the other hand, he could've just been leaving all the speculation in order to get a new contract.

until someone else accepts the Michigan job, i'll believe that Miles is going to take it. he may be a good, honest man, who means what he says. but we've seen and heard coaches say the same things before (Saban comes to mind), and it's hard to believe them unless their actions back it up. but he has to at least sound loyal until the season ends and they play their bowl game.

He didnt really say he was going or staying. He made it sound like he was staying but didnt come out and say it. That way if he does decide to leave no one can really say that he lied. I think he was just honestly tired of hearing about it so he was trying to silence the media.

He said that he would be LSU's coach next year. Next year is 2008, and their bowl game is going to be in january, so that will technically be next year. That's what I think he is doing.

he is signing a 1 year deal with LSU, so, he's staying for at least one more year....
