Expressed powers are those that are expressly provided for in the constitution such as the power of the President to declare a state of emergency.

Reserved powers are those that are discretionary on the part of the branch of the government such as the veto power of the President which can be used or not.

Concurrent powers are those that can be exercised by two or more branches of government such as the investigative powers of both the Congress and Judiciary involving anomalies committed by government officials.
