No one is banning Christmas.... c'mon.... stores aren't using the word Christmas because they are trying to embrace all winter holidays. They can't advertise "Happy Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, etc.!!!!!!!!" People are trying to say that stores are "banning" Christmas, but they are all still selling tons of Christmas stuff - decorations, trees, lights, cards, and if you haven't noticed, many more religious items too. Lots of stores use Christmas colors in their advertising when still using the word "holiday" also. So saying anyone is "banning" Christmas would be a fallacy unless they were outwardly saying that they were acknowledging Hannukah and other holidays but NOT Christmas. If a company does not change any business practices, advertising, and products especially for the season at all, including other holidays, I don't think they would be "banning" anything either. If anything they aren't celebrating or not celebrating anything and you can't fault them for that either.
Stores that are owned by Jews or Muslims or anyone else you wouldn't expect to see having Christmas items, just like you wouldn't expect your local Christian store to advertise Hannukah and then say they were *gasp* "banning" Hannukah.
Retail and the economy are secular in my opinion, they have zero obligation to use sacred words. That's the age-old controversy, isn't it? Must we keep addressing the same questions every year?
Thats' my piece.

I don't think that stores intentionally or specifically ban Christmas.
However, I do not expect to go to some stores and see Christmas decorations. For instance, when I go to my Jewish deli or the Indian corner store nearby.

Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples. They go all out to "hide" Christmas from their fliers and their stores. No decorations to be seen anywhere.
My philosophy is "You hide Christmas. I hide my Christmas shopping dollars from your establishment" and walk out.
