isnt illegal to back up already owned movies.

First of all, if you're downloading the movie from the internet then you are NOT making a back-up! Because you have to OWN the original in order to make a legal backup. If you downloaded it off the net, then you're NOT backing anything up! You're stealing the movie! You can NOT get arrested for downloading it though but you can be arrested for uploading it or allowing other users to get it from you. So if you download a movie off Limewire, you are not breaking the law (yet) but the person who allowed you to get it from them IS breaking the law that could get them prosicuted... :) have fun and be legal lol

It says even reproduction for non-commercial gain is punishable by law...
