I try for early but am usually late-Just can't get it together sometimes. Then I spend the whole trip there trying to think up an excuse that sounds really good.

I was early being conceived only 2 months after my older brother was born. Mom never let me forget it and I have been early my whole life ever since. Always like to be there ahead of time. Mom said leave time for a flat tire or some other problem on the road and I always have.

I am obsessively on time. My 32 year career was in the travel industry...where being late can get you sued, fired or otherwise in big trouble. I have always been early...15-20 minutes early. If I'm late, I'm dead or in the hospital.

I expect others to be on time also. I simply don't wait for ANYONE more than 15 minutes..unless I get a call saying the person is going to be late. If they don't call, and they aren't there in that 15 minute time frame, I simply leave.

I also won't wait more than 20 minutes at the doctors office. If I have an appintment at 3:00, I expect to be seen not later than 3:20. My time is equally as important as the doctors....after 20 minutes, I explain to the receptionist and I leave.

Frankly, I think people who are chronically late are selfish. They think it's perfectly OK to let someone wait until they get their S*** together, without regard to how the person waiting may be inconvenienced.

IMHO only, of course - HA!

OK I admit to being a late person. I know exactly how much time it takes to get somewhere and that's what I base my time for leaving on. I never factor in roadwork, a slow driver ahead of me and I can't pass etc. I'm usually about 5 min late for work. If it's a doctor's appointment I'm right on time to the second. ( My PRN work is 30 min. away)
I am unable to sleep (chronic problem) and my doctor has me on sleeping meds. I have 2 alarm clocks and TV to wake me plus my daughter calls.
It really is a miserable problem that I would love to see go away.
This past week I was running late so I quickly showered and dressed and let the heater in my car blow my hair dry. LOL

Usually try for just a little early. I have been a bit late on occasions but I feel its rude.
Unless of course you have a good reason. Being addicted to Y!A is NOT an adequate reason for lateness!!!

I'm usually about 5 to 10 minutes early. I hate being late and hate being kept waiting by others who are late.

It depends. If it's a family gathering, I usually arrive a little late... just like everyone else. If I need to drive a ways I leave a bit early because you never know what traffic will be like.

Early....always early if left to myself. Appointment at 9 and I'm sitting in the parking lot at 8:30....just incase you might like to get a 15 min early start on your day. (smile)

Usually early. I've gotten into the habit of telling those who are usually late to meet me earlier!

Always early. If I'm not where I'm supposed to be 15 minutes early, then I'm running late!
