"vaso" (or vascular) implies the circulatory system (arteries, veins and capillaries)

"constriction" is narrowing

"dilation" is widening

Constrict the flow, the pressure increases... I imagine putting your finger over the spout of a garden hose.

Dialation reduces the pressure since there is more room for the fluid to flow.

Best to read a definition on Wikipedia and not off the top of my head. Vasoconstriction reduces the diameter of the blood vessels so this increases blood pressure, Vasodilation opens out the blood vessels so for the same blood flow the pressure falls.

Vasoconstriction is when the diameter of the blood vessel decreases in size whereas vasodialation it increase in diameter. The smaller the diameter the higher the pressure, the larger the diameter the lower the pressur. This can be equated to a garden hose, don't put your finger over end and the water flows out and drops at your feet (dialation), put your finger over end (constriction) and you can squirt water at friend 10 feet away.
