This is a personal true story:

My sister and I both have a connection with ghosts closer than most normal people. This didn't start until these events took place when I was twelve or so and my sister thirteen or so...

We used to spend every weekend at my grandmothers housein the country, arriving Friday afternoon and staying until Sunday evening when my mother would pick us up. We both had our own rooms but they were only separated by a small bathroom. When we visited her house, the only occupants in the house would be me, my sister (Stacy) and my grandmother.

My sister and I slept at night in our own rooms except on times when we would play dolls or something late into the evening. On these nights, I would stay with my sister in her bedroom, making a "pallet" on the floor to sleep on. We would turn the lights our except for a lamp and climb into our beds just to talk for a few hours before going to sleep. That is when the "paranormal" things began.

Once everything was quiet and my sister and I were just talking, knocking would begin throughout the room. First on one wall, then another, making it's way around the room. It would knock three times in intervals: three knocks on one wall, three knocks on the next wall, and so on. We tried to ignore the knocking but soon, it was quite loud and it would not stop until I left my sisters bedroom. After the first time it happened, I began having nightmares about the bedroom, of someone trying to drag me into the closet and kill me (a nightmare which I still have to this day and I am eighteen years old!), of the mirror shattering or faces reflected in the glass, of the dolls in her room moving of their own accord and of people outside the bedroom windows.

A few weekends later, I tried to sleep in my sisters bedroom again, only to hear the repetitive knocking once again. I slept in my own room and the next morning we went outside to investigate and try to find the source of teh knocking. Ironically, and quite scary, we found a knife balanced carefully on teh outside windowsill, as if someone had been outside my siser's window as they had in my dreams. The odd part... my sister's bedroom window was at least fifteen feet off of the ground and there were thick thorny bushes beneath it, making it difficult to set up a ladder ot look in without ripping clothing or falling and at least making noise.

It has been six years since these occurences began or have taken place, primarily for the fact that we do not go over to stay the night at my grandmothers house any more. She passed away four years ago and my uncle inherited the property. He denies witnessing any supernatural occurences however my aunt, who had never once heard any stories whatsoever about any ghostly activity taking place in the house, actually saw a figure standing before her one night as she was making dinner. At the time, my uncle was outside with their Rottweiler, Riley while the only other person, my aunt, was inside. She happened to glance up and see the reflection of someone beside her and slightly behind her in the mirror. She jerked upright from slicing something and saw the apparition - a woman - before her. My aunt said, "Who are you and what do you want! I am not afraid of you!" The apparition remained there for a few seconds more before simply disappearing.

This was the last occurence that any of my family has witnessed. My entire family - my mothers side - visits this house every single year at Christmas time yet we have not had any unusual occurences take place. Still, to this day, I refuse to set foot in my sisters old bedroom for fear of waking up past memories or having a series of nightmares attack me while I sleep. :) I have not walked in that bedroom for over six years....

Yes, there is such thing as the supernatural. I have had many experiences from the time I was a child, and several of them unpleasant. What I've had most contact with is spirits. I never really had a dilemma, since I had my first "encounter" so young. Don't take my word for it though, or anyone elses. What I've found with many people is that the only thing that will convince them is a personal experience.

Yes there is such a thing, but this begins a debate on religion, world view, and science. I am a Christian / Protestant / Creationist, and I've had experienced God's presence in my life. This can be defined as supernatural, but it depends on what a person believes.

-----Additional info

By the way, George is incorrect. What he has described is "unnatural" not "supernatural". Supernatural has nothing to do with unusual occurances. Supernatural is something that occurs that is otherwise "naturally" impossible.

I think it's real. The Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego is haunted by the ghost of Kate Morgan, and I swear I heard her in the room I was in. There's also a restaraunt in Arizona called the Teeter House, in which there's a ghost of a woman who haunts the girls bathroom, and I've seen the toilet paper roll spin mysteriously. I believe in the supernatural.

yeah, I have weird brain powers. I can think of something and then it happens. Once I thought about this episode of Hannah Montana that they NEVER showed and it came on. I didn't know! That might sound weird, but it always happens! I also can will things to happen. In volleyball, when one person went to serve on the other team, I thought "miss it miss it" and 90% of the time she missed it! COINCIDENCE????? I've also had times when the door opened and closed and no one was there (and it wasn't the wind, i'm guarenteed. Not even an airbender [anime reference^^] could have done that!).

Yes..supernatural to me, is very scary and very good at the same time..without debate, I experience a lovely super natural love from my God.....before I was saved, I have had a legion of demons try to take my life...* very scary ...to have them breathing and touching, and mocking , and licking your face....ewwww and whatever else they did to me when they tried to come and take me. I am thankful, now that I am clean, and only deal with the pure and powerful supernatural beings of the Holy Spirit.

I have had one that several people were witness to. About 10 years ago, a friend of mine died. He was young, about 20. At the wake, there were not enough chairs to go around. This one large man decided to give up his seat for the sake a slim young lady. The chair was a simple mettle folding chair. When she sat down, it looked like someone took one of the legs and bent it enough for it to break. My friend didn't like her very much, and apparently wanted to show everyone how he felt.

Supernatural or evil...what I experienced can not be closely related to anything Super...as in Superman or SuperHuman or "that is really super"....having something appear out of nowhere that wasn't there and watching people run scared in fright....Yes....it exists....

believe it or not. Anything out of the norm is considered supernatural. The Nile river is supernatural. It flows backwards which is not natural.. There fore anything not natural MUST be supernatural...
