Did you have a nickname growing up? How about now?
My grandpa beleived everyone should have a nickname-Mine was simple Dede while my sister's was Hooty-sapper-ticker.
Now my nieces and nephews call me Bubbie and My grandkids call me Grandma Bubbie. My BIL calls me Tele-bubbie. Started because my nephew had trouble saying Debi and it just stuck.

Shar or Shary by my parents (dim, Sharyn)
My initials are SLK, someone misinterpreted it and thought my name was Silk, and it has stuck

Grandpa and his old buddies called me Tomboy from before I can remember. I never thought anything about it and just answered to it. I guess it was because I lived on a farm with my grandparents when I was little. I guess though that the main reason...grandpa was 19 years older than grandma and so he was retired and I hung out with him and helped feed the animals etc while grandma worked. They were 47 and 68 when I was born and went to live with them. My older daughter now calls me Sneve and my other daughter calls me Mabes when we're being silly.

I didn't really have a nickname growing up, I only got mine when I came on here. When I thought of a name for here, I just used -luvspbr2 because I love (luv) the PBR too (2)-in addition to NASCAR. I didn't really think about being called by 'name'. Now I'm Luvs or Luvy and I like that, it's a nice nickname.

Nothing glamorous or cute. For a while as a teenager I was called Sam, short for Sandra. Now I am just Sandy, Mom, and Grandma.

When I was about 17 years old one of my instructors dubbed me "Bits", short for "Little Bit O'Trouble". Over 40 years later there are still people who call me Bits, or Little Bit. I use it as a screen name too.

My dad gave me the nick name of Shawna, when I was very
young. And he called me that always. His mom had given me
my birth name(Sharon) and my mom always hated it, and my dad never used it ever. My grandma said she got my name from the bible. But I never saw anyones' name with my own.
My mom never used my nick name, she always used my
birth name, even tho she didn't like it. She had always wanted
to name me Alexi, and my dad didn't like it. And so the first
female cousin was given that name, because my aunt liked
it too. And it was similar to their fathers' name of Alexander.
Though he was known as Alex. Alexi shortened her name to just "Lexi" and I'm starting to hear it used on TV. Just as I did our daughter's name eventually. She changed her name after
a year of college, to be different from April. Now she's known as Abril and it's on her last SS card.
