cut long story short her father abused me n her sis now we have never seen eye to eye although she stood by me, but as of late the last few yrs she prefers to swan off im example i have a daughter she hasnt seen all yr yet they live 10min away

If your mother is asking you to spend Christmas with her, then I think you should. Maybe this will cause her to realize how much she's missed by neglecting you and her grandchild. God bless you!!!

If you really love, love will compell you to do things that you wouldn't normally want to do so that you don't hurt the person you love.

So give your mother some time.

I say spend at least part of it with her and the rest with other friends and family you love. Just don't spend it alone.

No, you don't. I never spend christmas with my mom, and i don't think she'd like to spend it with me. If you force yourself to spend it with her it'll end in a disaster, belive me! (it can include broken dishes and crying people!)
