first off...it's soft shelled, and how the heck did you get a hold of a chinese soft shelled turtle? I know theyr are the american breeds.. lol they have the florida one that is so freaking vicous. when their babies there not to hard to take care of when there older there pains in the butt.

All soft-shells bite- probably because the shell is not as protective, they are an aggressive species.

Handling soft-shells is a bad idea- they REALLY get stressed by it. While they make good pets if you have the right habitat, they are definitely a hands-off pet.
