its disgusting and i know I'm probably going to get reported for it but i say....kill em' all! i have more respect for the animals than people like that.
maybe not all of them but the ones that do harm and eat the animals. anyone comes near my cat they're going to get shot!
just saw the article you put up and it like made me cry. i've done horse backriding before and i don't get how someone could do that to such peaceful animals.

What do the Chinese think when they read stories of British tearing foxes apart, Americans organizing cruel dog fights, Canadians smashing the skulls of seals, Belgians with their terrible zoos, Spanish bullfighting ?

China doesn't really have the best record when it comes to animal rights (neither does the rest of the world). It's up to the chinese people (and perhaps PETA and other animal rights organizations) to stop this.
Just because their tradition is not the same as your's doesn't mean that they should be punished for it. There's a fine line between "immorality" and social norms.

Dicey subject, tricky world. I wonder what would be the impact of boycotting them? The government can maintain a somewhat friendly stance with them and we just boycott their products at the store. No need for hostility, just action.

Lets stop the cruelty to animals here in the United States first.
Cosmetics, lab rats, medictions, sugar free products and those others who use animals to test products.

lets get this straight... not all the chinese people are cruel to animals. there are actually a lot of them that support founz. that help animals. japanese people kill DOLPHINs. on a festival. and they still do it today.
i think we should help the animals and let the message be heard.

Unfortunately this is their culture.
But if it were in my hands, I would shoot them and give those gorgeous animals loving homes.
It is horrifying and makes me want to throw up.
