Guys going to hell didnt choose to walk the right path.
The whole god trip is apparently about acceptance, forgiveness and freewill, for example exercising the freedom of choice to say no to temptation.
All of which I can go along with.
Believing in some ridiculous notion of an omnipresent being in whose image we are made who will condemn us into a fiery pit if we dont believe and repent?

No, they just don't realise there's a means of getting to heaven and end up in hell by default. (Some of them seem to ask for it though.)
