Since the US is a permanent member of the UN security council, it can have veto power of any resolution. All it takes is just ONE single nay from either of the 5 permanent members and the whole resolution gets axed.

The five permanent members of the Security Council (China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, and United States) enjoy the privilege of veto power. This power has been intensely controversial since the drafting of the UN Charter in 1945. The United States and Russia would probably not have accepted the creation of the United Nations without the veto privilege. Fifty years later, the debate on the existence and use of the veto continues, reinvigorated by many cases of veto-threat as well as actual veto use. This page follows the issue, and provides data and a comprehensive list of all the vetoes cast and the subjects vetoed in the Security Council since 1945.

There are five countries with Veto Power.
Russia
United States
China
France
United Kingdom
If one of these countries vetoes a resolution, it is in essence a dead duck.

The United Nations Security Council veto power is a veto power wielded solely by the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, enabling them to void any Security Council substantive resolution regardless of the level of general support.

The veto votes can be used to block entire resolutions. It is not only the US that has veto powers, Russia, France, the UK, and China all have veto voting powers.

The vetoes of a Security Council member cannot be overridden (unlike a Presidential veto in the US), and the resolution is not enacted.

Faith in God is a very powerful thing. When I needed God the most when times for me were really bad God answered my prayers. When My family was fighting and abusing me God got me out of that situation and into a much better place. I am now married and I always wanted a little girl. I prayed and I was sent a beautiful little girl. God is amazing, if you call and pray for Jesus and your in need of help, he listens to every prayer.
