You need to find the ordered pair (x,y) or point on the graph where the function is at its maximum - in our case that is when x=2 and y=9 or (2,9)

the vertex is (-b/2a, y(-b/2a))

in this case, -b/2a = -4/-2 = 2
y(4) = - 4 + 8 + 5 = 9

so the vertex is at (2,9)

I am guessing you are trying to find the coordinate of the vertex, for instance, (8,7)
