What is a good mid-way point between Los Altos and San Jose?

You are going to have to provide more of a location for San Jose. Are you way out by Berryessa or way the other direction by Westgate or somewhere in between? San Jose is a large city.

Along 280, there is a rest area with vista point in the north of 92, you can see the mountains and san andreas lake .
